Thanks jmcu i guessed that much. No, it does not work like that. A PoE switch can't power another switch and then power more cameras. Generally 1 port - 1 camera.
You can use a poe port on the back of a NVR to another POE switch and let the second poe switch power your cams. You might have to manually add them but I have done that a few times. Make sure the cams are on the same subnet as your switch in the NVR.Thanks jmcu i guessed that much.
Have you any ideas to resolve my issue?
What ePOE NVR do you have? It must have more than 1 port... ?
Its a duhua nvr with 8 epoe ports. The problem is ive one cat5 cable over 300metres going to switch with four more ip camera? What ePOE NVR do you have? It must have more than 1 port... ?
Not the most Ideal situation but On the longer runs I have used a Midspan switch between the runs. Thanks chris
But the cable distance from my nvr to the switch is 300metres?

Correct. But again If you only have cat 5 I think you are not going to fare well, should have a minimum of 5e in there for your runs.Do you mean cut the cable half way and fit a switch?
I was just looking for that, Nice catch looks like cat 5 ain't cuttin it.
We unfortunately took the job over there was an existing system of analogue cameras. So the wiring was already in place cant redo whats already there. Reason for the forumCorrect.
