Thanks for sharing. What a moron...someone could have died, like an innocent bystander.

Word to drunks & drug users, including legal Rx's that love to drive DUI / impaired....you want to kill yourself? I really do prefer you seek help but if you insist, go to someplace deserted and off your self; leave me and the rest us out of your equation.

And if one of MY loved ones is pulled into your driving drama and is seriously injured or killed? .... I hope the cops get there before I do. :angry:

Thank God Santa survived! santax.gif

You would be surprised how many times people take narcotic prescription pills and drive, causing impairment. They think its no big deal because a DR gave it to them.
Not me.

I recall probably at least a dozen times in 31 years one of our traffic signals or street light poles being knocked down or the controller cabinet being run over by someone that looked like your sweet 'ol grandpa or your mom; they were just on the Rx pills the doc gave them...they weren't addicts, just careless and somewhat naive.

Used to be the cops took your keys and checked on you when they changed shifts. Nowadays you go to jail and get a $5,000 bill for a new light pole. This evolution is certainly is a very good thing.

@TonyR
I had a old lady Run right through the front of an auto body repairshop, nearly hitting the owner.

Probably 70 or 80s .Did a blood draw and had tons of prescription medication in her blood

I don't get surprised much anymore

Me neither. They don't read and/or follow Rx warning labels and also think "....oh, it must be OK, after all, a doctor prescribed these for me."

About 3 years ago and about 2 miles from me an elderly widow ran into rear of a pickup parked about15 feet off the road; the truck's owner and son had been deer hunting nearby and were getting into the truck and barely escaped injury or death. When the sheriff's deputy arrived she told him that he had pulled out in front of her.
