Hi to one and all.

Help is needed because I'm so confused as to why it doesn't work.

The outside cameras are wired up to the DVR and the DVR is connected to Router.

The DVR works over Wifi because my cameras can be seen on an app on mobile whilst using Wifi.

Now I'm almost certain I have done all the port forwarding correctly for it to work on like mobile data but it doesn't work when wifi is turned off.

What am I doing wrong... I've done I think everything like why can I not see the cameras on an app on my mobile with the wifi turned off.

Don't port forward.

Well without port forwarding I wouldn't be able to see my cameras using my mobile data which is what I'm trying to get to work.

So if it's a no-no to port forwarding what else is there?
Um, we all see our units fine on mobile data by following the link @looney2ns provided. It is called OpenVPN.

You VPN back into your network and puts you on your home wifi IP address range. Not to be confused with a paid VPN that hides your IP address for porn and illegal video streaming LOL.

His reply was sound advice....just because it wasn't the answer you wanted to hear doesn't make it stupid....

But if you want to run the risk of getting hacked, that is your choice, but without make/model of your router and DVR, and screenshots of your router settings and DVR settings, it is all a guess as to what the settings would be...

You need to be polite. Everyone here is trying to help each other with our experience, right ir wrong. Security issues are a real concern in this forum. The problem could be related to your ISP provider, which sometimes will not allow (block) the outsourcing of the public ip. You may try a port test from the outside.

Enter the port assigned to your dvr (i.e. 37777 for Dahua). If the result is “close”, you will need to check your router setting, or call your ISP to investigate if they are blocking. If that is the case, you need an static ip ($$)

Well, that's not helping to what I've actually asked.

So no I won't bother answering back to your stupid reply because it doesn't help whatsoever.
There are many paid network technicians you can hire. When someone gives FREE sound advice dont be a nasty prick. You will get hack if you port forward. That is fact. You are not only compromising your footage but rather your entire network. Its interesting that you didnt bother clicking on the link provided to you.
