Dvr settings keep reverting after reboot

Swapped my exact same model of dvr with someone who cant deal with technology to find i cant fix it lol.....i changed the cr2032 battery....no joy. Unplugged and replugged hard drive, tried reset to defaults via both ip adress and dvr settings nothing works its just groundhog day each time it reboot

I'm assuming that when you swapped DVR, the hard drive came with it, so I would check to make sure that there was no config file with those settings saved on the hard drive.
