i would like to install IP cameras for my friend who's opening up a motocycle shop in a bad neighborhood. he wants to have backups onto the cloud, in case the thief takes or smashes the NVR.
is there an off the shelf solution? i am not aware of any NVR that auto upload vids to the cloud.
i understand Blue Iris can easily do this by having the recording folder be uploaded to BackBlaze. But I shudder at the thought of setting up BI and all the IP cams individually.
please advise.

What is he going to do if the thief cuts the cable line? The best solution is a backup hidden NVR or nas.
Blue iris is just as easy to setup as an NVR. Not sure why you are shuddering.

Gotta agree with fenderman, most thieves will want to get in and out as quickly as possible so spending the time to trace wires back to the NVR has to be things that you only see in films.

BI is fairly easy to setup for basic recording and motion detection but you have the advanced options available should you later want or need them.

Just make sure the NVR is well hidden and the wiring is also hidden so that it’s not obvious where they are all going.
