Hi there,
I have a Hikvision DS-7608 NVR and some Hikvision POE cameras.
All is setup and working well.
The cameras record 24/7.
I've set up motion detection which seems to work well, and set to a schedule when people are not likely to be there. I get an email inside this schedule when the motion detection sees something.
HOWEVER: How can I change this fixed timed arming schedule to engage only when the external building alarm system is armed?
I can wire an output from the alarm panel which goes high or low when the alarm is set, to the Hikvision box I/O on the back. I want to do this so that the number of false hits is massively cut down and the system reflects more accurate use. i.e. only alert me of motion when the building alarm is set // rather than simply guessing when people are likely not in the building.
I always want recording 24/7... I just want the motion detection email alert to be active based on when the external alarm is set.
