Event emails not working from HIK camera.

I have several DS-2CD2335FWD-I with firmware V5.6.821 build 230831 connected to the NVR DS-7616NI-I2 / 16P with firmware V3.4.96 build 170921. All cameras are connected to the PoE internal switch. The cameras (not the NVR) used to send email alerts upon events trigerring.
At one point I changed my main router and all the cameras stooped sending any emails. The email test fails. The NVR continues to send event emails normally. So clearly something in the router prevents the email from the cameras.

Has anyone encountered similar problem? Any ideas what "annoys" the router to stop the emails?

Did the router LAN address change?
What's the gateway address set to in the camera network configuration?
Did you used to have a static route configured on the old router to direct camera network traffic via the NVR LAN address?

Is the outgoing e-mail port used by the camera different from that of the NVR?

You are right, I had forgotten to setup the static routing of the PoE subnet to the NVR LAN IP in my new router.
Now all cameras succeed in sending emails except from one camera that "username or password is incorrect"
Interesting and weird error. I know the gmail account credentials but it fails to login to the gmail server.

Any ideas??

Did that configuration use an 'app password' for authentication?

@Alastair You were right. I had to insert an app password from Google to send emails through gmail.
