I have a Turing camera system that was installed by a local security company a couple years ago. The system works fine but I would like to expand the storage capacity by adding another 2 TB WD Purple hard drive. I thought I would be able to find the exact same drive and just add a second but I can't find this WD Purple model number for sale anywhere. I'm assuming it has something to do with the "For Sale in China Only" label on the drive. Has anyone else run into this or can someone tell me where I can find another drive like this? Or, if I buy a new "WD23PURZ " will it be compatable with the China drive that is currently installed?

You've not said where you are located.
What model number did you search for?
There's no shortage of China-sourced wd20ejrx here in the UK at least.
But for warranty you'd be best to buy one that's intended for sale in your own country.
I'm sure compatibility won't be an issue.
