Is this possible? I'm using a dahua box with a mix of 32 8mp and 4mp cameras. I'm using 8x12tb drives and would like to add a NAS to extend my storage retention.

Several years ago I had my Synology connected to a couple of Hikvision bullet cameras and it worked fine. I am a happy Synology owner and will continue to use their products. They also have a surveillance app called Surveillance Station which you may find helpful.

I prefer WD Red's in the NAS and Purple's in NVR's / BI rigs.
