Just kidding. I would never harm these little birds but I have to admit that this little guy is really fat. Guess I shouldn't be feeding them so much. Maybe I should name him 'Fat Albert'. :D

looks like it ate a pigs head :P

so yeh dont eat em? do you get eggs or is it just in it for fun?

Was pretty common where I grew up for there to be a few pheasant in the chicken coops, eggs are small but good... mostly raised for the meat tho.

What are you feeding them? :)

looks like it ate a pigs head :P

They devoured the pigs head so I had to get another flock block yesterday. I wonder what they'll carve this time?

I don't know where they lay their eggs but I get many chicks showing up in the Spring. I just feed them for the fun of it and the camera captures. They're used to me feeding them, so they come running when I throw out the grain. :)

I want to see a video of that guy trying to take off and fly.

He'd probably needs a long runway to take off. Hope he's fast enough to avoid the cats and hawks. :)

Never ate one hear eggs are good. @nayr pheasant are mighty tasty

Never had quail eggs but used to hunt quail and pheasants years ago. Both are quite tasty.

This is the new Flock Block. You can see the remnants of the old one (pig-head) on the left side. This particular ESC camera gets close-up captures of anything that moves including ants, beetles, slugs, worms, spiders, mice, raccoon's and of course cats, but mostly birds and squirrels during the day. :)
