I recently added the FI8921W V2 camera to my Blue Iris Software and I'm having a problem with the video when it gets dark.

The camera is mounted at an indoor window so I have the IR set to off to prevent the resulting reflection when the IR is on.

The FI8921W V2 Day Time Video attachment is a screen snapshot of the FI8921W video taken during the day. No problem.

The other attachment, F8921W V2 Nite Video is a screen snapshot of the FI8921W and the FI8910W cameras. Both cameras have the IR set to OFF.

The F8910W video as you can see, is clear and stable while the FI8921W video has some type of error symbols above the camera window and the video streaky with blue lines running through it.

Is this a faulty camera?
How can I resolve this problem?

Thanks,
Lou

That is common in low light situations...ive seen that on hikvisions too...it varies by the type of light its exposed to.

yeah a foscam with the IR turned off looking out the window at night is going to a junk image for the most part; your not fixing that... really any camera isint going to work in that situation.

put the camera outside and turn the IR back on... the camera is faulty in that IMHO a Foscam is a Webcam best suited for Home Pornography, not security... its overpriced and underbuilt for a security camera.

"IMHO a Foscam is a Webcam best suited for Home Pornography, not security... its overpriced and underbuilt for a security camera" @nayr, could not have said it better myself....although I would still not use foscam even for my home pornography :D
