Earlier this year I replaced a few IPC-HDBW2300R-Z cameras with newer Dahua models.
I'd like to give the HDBW2300R-Z's to a family member, but before I do, I wanted to try and upgrade the firmware. They are currently running 2.420.0008.0.R, build : 2015-07-10 which seems a bit crusty, especially in light of this security vulnerability.
In addition, one thing that I can't get working is any kind of JPEG snapshot, i.e. cgi-bin/snapshot.cgi (I've tried a bunch of stuff.) I'm hoping a newer firmware may have this "standard" endpoint so I don't have to come up with a work-around for my intended re-use case.
Unfortunately, I can't find much of anything about this model on Dahua's site(s) or dahuawiki.com, let alone a newer firmware download. Even googling for the name of the firmware file listed in the vulnerability PDF above comes up empty.
