Hi, I have old Dahua NVR4208-8P Readed from label on back side. Looking For firmware. But in Dahua server I found only For
4208-8p-4KS2/4KS3 and ...8p EI. In Dahua config tools no model show as usualy. Only "NVR" and SN: TZA4KY237WINDFT. How can I find FW exactly For this NVR by SN? Anybody help, please

You probably wont find it, thats an old NVR.

Why do you want to upgrade the FW?

Firmware isn't likely your problem and you can brick your NVR with the wrong firmware.

1st you need to know what the IP of your NVR is - maybe 192.168.1.X?
Next you need to know what the default IP of the HiK camera is\ Probably 192.168.1.64

You will need to set the HiK camera to ONVIF

Google is your friend

I have a Hik on My Amcrust 4208 :) ( dahua OEM) Well now it's on the 4116 but same animal.
So it's possible. without a firmware upgrade.
Be damned if I can remember the steps though.
wheres my coffee? Dammit!
Hik Cam has an IP of 192.168.0.156
and did not show up in the Amcrest IPconfig program
and in the "camera" tab inside the NVR user interface,
It is shown to be on Port 80, while all the other Dahua products are on port 37777
I'm using an External POE switch rather than the POE port on the NVR, because I run Blue Iris as well.

So here is what steps you will need to do,, First you will need to turn the camera on.. When the cameras are new they are not active and the Dahua and Amcrest and other devices like Dahua will not find the cameras when not active.. So you will need a tool called SADP.. You will need to connect your camera to a local Switch/hub or router, If you don't have a POE, POE+ or POE++ switch you will need 12v or a POE Injector.. Once you connect your camera to your normal LAN you will use SADP program to find your Hikvision device that isn't active and setup a password and IP for your camera.. Seeing you want to use POE NVR you would go down your list of camera to the next port or the port you want to add it to and setup something with same password as your NVR and an IP of 10.1.1.xxx and the xxx is the IP of where it is in line on your NVR. IF you have lets say 10.1.1.65, 66, 67 and 68 already in use and adding this camera to port5 of the NVR then you could make the IP 10.1.1.69 and the NVR would be ok with that.. You will also or maybe need to also setup a ONVIF password for your Hikvision camera if it isn't setup to use your admin as the ONVIF password.. Once you do this again using the password that you setup for your NVR. Then you can remove power from the camera and connect the camera to the NVR port 5 or in your case what ever port it is going to.. When you do this it most likely will not show up below. But if you do a device search again after connecting it, it should show on top with the 10.1.1.xxx that you setup for it and show port 80 or might even be port 8999 or something that the NVR should know when you do a search.. add it.. You will need to put in the password even though it is the same because they are different brands and just seems to work that way.. So you go down to the area below and the camera should be there with red dot. Click the pencil and change the password to the one you set and that camera should now show on the GUI. after a few hit refresh and it should now show green?

Oh 1 down side to having a Non Dahua or Amcrest or other Dahua OEM setup on your Dahua NVR is that when you want to access that camera like you can with your normal dahua cameras you will need to remove the camera from the NVR and setup on your LAN.. because Virtual host only works for Dahua or OEM Dahua cameras when connected to NVR.. Or at least that is how it works with my Amcrest POE NVRs..

It’s been a while but I was able to access a couple of Axis cameras off the Dahua NVR PoE

Sorry I was wrong. I forgot that my Hikvision cameras are connected on a star network connection and bridged to my Amcrest POE NVR.. I stopped trying, However in a star setup first one in gets the love and always seems that a Dahua or Amcrest camera would be in first.. On my 4216E-AI that has 14-16 as Hikvision, I removed all the cameras and started one Hikvision OEM 4mp AI camera up and when I clicked the e sure enough it loaded the camera on the NVRs IP and port 10080.... I will make some changes in my network and route 4 lines into the NVR from the switch and then the NVR will think all incoming devices are connected. Right now they are only coming in to the NVRs on 1 cable.. I have a lot of devices and forget sometimes what one is connected what way.. Sorry for the Confusion.
