firmware update fail

Hi I have a hikvision DS2CD2386G2-IU camera and I tried to update the firmware to V5.7.17 it installed but I am not getting any video. I can access the setup menu but it is limited. What I want to know is there any way to fix it or do I just bin it.

Perhaps the problem is with the choice of (the unspecified) browser.
What browser are you using?

I would have expected that version of firmware to support Edge, however the product page suggests :
Plug-in required live view: IE 10+
Plug-in free live view: Chrome 57.0+, Firefox 52.0+
Local service: Chrome 57.0+, Firefox 52.0+

No it's not the browser because when i try and view it through blueiris I get no video image.
