I installed my first DS-2CD2532F-I yesterday and that evening it developed a lot of fog inside the dome right in front of the lens and IR LEDs. It hasn't disappeared yet, and it is nearly noon.

It is much worse at night due to the IR bleed it causes.

Do you think it will go away on its own or will I need to open it up on a dry day and let it air out?

I would probably let it air out, maybe stick the silicon pack back in there to suck up the moisture.

i would open it and also make sure you tighten it up evenly so the seal is tight..

I think the problem is the flimsy dome cover. It feels like if you tighten too much it may warp the plastic enough to let moisture in. Haven't tried it but maybe once it's installed like you want it, put a bead of caulk around the edge of the camera.
