For Sale: TP-LINK CPE-510 5GHz wireless bridge kit, pre-configured
This kit consists of 2 of the below linked TP-LINK CPE-510 5GHz radios, each pre-configured with a private, static IP address and presently functioning as AP (Access Point) for local install and CLIENT for remote install, thus providing a wireless bridge between 2 points or buildings, provided there is adequate LOS (Line Of Sight) between them and the radios are properly mounted and aimed.
The 2 units were in the field and functioning flawlessly a little over 2 years, mounted outdoors but under a roof overhang so were out of direct weather, are very clean and come complete with 24VDC passive POE injectors with mounting brackets and injector power cords.
You can use as-is, a conventional private LAN router or switch even if in a different subnet will allow these devices to pass data (unless they conflict with your subnet). If you prefer to reconfigure them, temporarily set a PC to a static IP in the same subnet that I have them configured with, plug into the POE injector's LAN port (I'd do the CLIENT first), log into the webGUI, re-configure to your liking (Static IP, username, password, SSID, etc.) then swap over to the AP and re-configure it. Allow about 45 seconds for the pair to re-connect and function as a wireless bridge when powered back up.
Reconfiguring with unique, static IP’s in YOUR subnet will facilitate initial alignment for optimum performance and future operational checks.
I suggest bench-testing the reconfigured bridge before installing in the field. For a suggestion of a couple of inexpensive and easily-made PVC mounts, go here.
For the record, the use of the Pharos centralized management system is NOT required, these radios can be configured using their embedded webGUI and can function totally free and independently.
