Foscam FI8908W CGI Upgrade?

Hi,

Proud owner of a very old Foscam I think FI8908W hardware.

Have firmware that responds to commands in IPCAM CGI SDK 2.1, however PTZ control is less fine-grained than required.

I think Foscam have another standard for camera control by CGI, and the commands all begin with /cgi-bin/CGIProxy.fcgi?.

The latter does promise to provide the required fine-grained PTZ control, so I'm wondering which cameras support it?

Also, like to know if there is alternate firmware for my FI8908W hardware, that implements the alternate CGI methods?

Any clues, links, polite comment, etc., very welcome.

Okay. Well the problem that I have with the FI8908W firmware is that you have to do a reboot before changes to PT motor rates are effected.

/ Must reboot after.

If I want to be able to control the PT motors with a joystick, making the motor speed proportionate to stick deflection, then my current camera won't do.

Therefore, I'm on the look-out for an affordable Foscam WiFi pan-tilt IP camera, one with the CGI command set that always begins with: /cgi-bin/CGIProxy.fcgi?.

Anyone know of such?
