This vixen kit loves to climb this tree. So this morning she was at it again. Only this time this other fox wasn't paying attention I guess and when she down climbed it was startled into racing off, only to sprint back ready for a fight...or perhaps thinking it should probably come back to defend her if there was a threat. Tells me it had no idea what scared it .. just that it reacted with a startle reflex, and took 'flight'. If I thought foxes felt embarrassment I would have suggested it was just that, and returned in a huff out of some sense of misplaced shame for fleeing in the first place, leaving the vixen kit to fend for herself. What a dufass. haha
