Front porch camera recommendation needed

I think you have to splice/hook up your own Speaker for the audio-out, then use either web interface with a pc mic or the phone app to talk to it.

Ok, So I need separate wire for a speaker and it cannot be transmitted over current CAT5?

POE switch->cat5-->camera

It will record with the built-in microphone though. You only need a speaker for two-way audio.

Not a bad idea if you want two-way. One-day I will do that, at the moment I've just got sound, it's quite good.

Which one do you have and how is the sound, are you able to hear clearly, long distance, what do you use on the other end phone app or NVR software?
Just curious.

DS-2CD2542FWD-IS, maybe 5 to 10m, it's a mini microphone so I think that's quite good!

Phone App, NVR software, download file. All works.
