One has to adjust the points, if you go for a electronic distributor and a compatible ignition coil that alone costs as much as a EV motor and then having to rebuild the carb, make sure you never put ethanol blended fuel. It makes sense to just convert classic cars to EV, spend more time on road driving then fiddling under the hood. Whats more if you have a manual/stick shift classic car, you get to retain the transmission but never have to use the clutch.
Don't forget to add Gas engine sounds in that EV.
