I saw a piece on the local news last night talking about a school district getting some all electric school busses. They proudly claimed that the busses emitted no pollution at all. While that may be, technically, true, they omitted the fact that to charge the busses, daily and maybe twice a day, they need to use electricity. The electricity is being generated in plants that burn coal, natural gas and, maybe, even use (perish the thought) nuclear generation. Last time I check all of those produce pollutants.

^^^^ Throw in the pollution required to safely dispose of them and you've got a lose-lose proposition. None of this is ever mentioned by the "green" crowd which I think is actually the "let's go back to the horse and buggy crowd".
Yeah, ERCOT has been sending out Conserve warnings in Texas again, these are the guys who handled our February Winter storm this year so well, cutting off power for several days

Pulling my weight
Not unlike the shutting down of the Keystone Pipeline by the new admin; now more trucks burn fuel and add to pollution just to deliver the fuel to the point where the pipeline delivered it before with NONE of the downside!
