Just read that they found him, his wife and dog dead in their house. I am not going to speculate as to what happened, just a sincere 'Thank you' for all of the entertainment that you brought to me thru out my life! RIP

I just learned his wife was 63. Atta boy, Gene.
Long successful career. Retired early enough to enjoy his golden year’s. RIP for him, his wife, and reportedly one of their dogs.

yes-- I think so. Or murder-suicide. There were "pills" spilled all over a counter. Very odd. There were also other dogs (per an NBC report) alive there besides the one that was dead.

Recent pictures of Gene makes me think he was not in good heath. I can attest to the stress of taking care of aging elders, especially if they have neurological or physical decline.
Dog was locked in bathroom closet, pills scattered everywhere, space heater. More likely an accident or she couldn’t take it anymore.
