Geofence erratic!

My geofence push notifications go on and off every few minutes saying I'm entering/exiting.

Im very tech savvy so this is driving me crazy.

I've ensured that battery optimisation is if for literally anything I can think of, accuracy is set high etc.

I did notice however that if I open google maps my location is grey and somewhere else (not my last location) before it quickly then updates.

My gps works fine when apps are open so I have a background issue I'm thinking.

Any ideas?

I found the problem.

I've moved recently and my routers still registered to Googles server at my old address. It's the MAC address, not the SSID, so even a complete wipe doesnt fix it.

There is NO way to update this, you simply have to wait for google to do it. In the mean time i've turned off 'Improve Location Accuracy' in Android settings. This makes the device rely only on GPS and not wifi addresses.
