Geofencing without admin account

I'm noticing on my Android app I only see geofencing settings when logged into my admin account, but not a limited access account.

Am I missing a way to set up geofencing with a limited access account?

I tested setting it up in a lan only admin account and then switching my phone to a limited access account that can be reached from the internet, but I got a notification about the geofence not updating.
