Getting Chinese G0 DS-2CD2335-I working with NVR (DS-7104NI-E1/4P)

Hello,
I bought/moved into a new home and am currently fixing my old home to sell. I left my 4 x 3MP Hikivision cameras installed hoping it would add some value having a working camera system.
I personally use Zoneminder but for the home I am selling just bought a Hikivision NVR (DS-7104NI-E1/4P) to view / record the cameras. Today I hooked up the NVR and factory reset my cameras, they all show on the NVR except my Chinese G0 DS-2CD2335-I.

Is there anything I can do to get this camera to work with this NVR? It is a struggle to navigate through the Chinese menus but I can manage if that is necessary. The serial number is "DS-2CD2335-I20150928AACH544009497"

So I'm guessing because I received no responses this is impossible?

Should I be seeing an error message anywhere, I have read about a "language mismatch" error , but not sure where to confirm if I have that. Maybe there is a way to connect to the camera as if it is just a generic RTSP stream/ONVIF camera?

Yes, that's what normally used to be the result of attempting to connect a Chinese camera to an EN NVR.
But the detail varies with the firmware version.
As the firmware got further updated, Hikvision also closed off the work-around of connecting the Chinese camera under the ONVIF protocol.
Generic RTSP should still work - unless they are also using a sneaky side-channel query to assess the camera language.

I'm wondering if on the newer firmware they have simply made the NVR silently ignore the Chinese cameras now instead of giving an actual error message.

Thanks, I played around with the system a little bit more and see that I do indeed have the "language mismatch" error.
I was able to manually connect using ONVIF and everything is working fine now.

You need to access the camera with a laptop, and turn onvif check off, The chinese version works differently. Hope this helps..
