Getting Life Out of a QSEE NVR

Hello IPCamTalkers and Happy Thanksgiving,

I'm finally unpacking my QSee NVR & cams after a move and I've just learned that they are no longer in business.

My question for the group is, can I still add cameras to my QSee NVR (model QC888, 8-channel NVR)? Which brands would I use? Am I limited in the types of cameras (i.e. resolution, or detection capabilities)?

If I can still use this NVR and expand it with a couple of cameras, I was thinking I can use tinyCam Pro for monitoring and management, instead of the (what I'm assuming is a) now defunct QSee Android app.

Thank you for your help!

Yes, that is a Dahua OEM so you can add cameras made by Dahua - Amcrest, Lorex, etc. Would need to get cameras equal to or less than the resolution that NVR can handle.

FYI - double check resolutions supported on this NVR .. if the NVR dies you can look at a Dahua OEM NVR or VMS .. or 3rd Party VMS like Blue Iris ..
