I have my house pre-wired for POE cameras. I am looking for an NVR w/ HD + 4 camera set, upgradeable to 8. Ideally 4MP cameras, if people think they are significantly better than 3MP cameras.
My budget is $500, but I can go a little above that if it is justified (have to explain to wifey what it will give us over something at Costco).
I found the DS-2CD2042WD-I cameras, but I cannot find a well rated NVR that states it works with Hikvision cameras.
The NVR I need an iPhone/Android app for viewing (3rd party is fine), but would like email push notifications of motion.
Any feedback read and appreciated.
