Not bad. You can get i7-4790 systems for a similar price, and they should perform better, but they are also older, not likely to come with as much RAM or disk space.
I got a similar deal on ebay a while back but with 8gb ram.. I'm more than happy with mine.. i finally installed a crucial mx500 250gb ssd yesterday too. Boots in seconds compared to mins

That is a very good deal. I’ve got the same 600 G2 but mine only had 4gb of ram. It can accommodate a SSD and 2 full size hard disks and is also fairly quiet.

That's a great deal!
I 've got an old i7-3770k that has run 24/7 since 2012.
It's been rock solid and abused daily for years. It still stacks up well against the i5-6500

comparison i7-3770k vs i5-6500

But, looking @ doing a i9-9900k build before end of year. But prices for all great components are stupid expensive.
I guess weighing that up against buying and building possibly another 2 machines over another 7 years, I'm slowly talking myself into it.

I would have pounced on the deal if it were still available; for a 16 GB i5-6500 that was terrific. I have a similar (but 8 GB) system but for that price I could have another system to mess with. :)

Just to give an idea of how cheap I'm seeing thing in the area:
HP Workstation 8300 i7 3.4ghz proc. 4GB ram, 128 GB SSD, comes with a DVD burner No monitor, keyboard or mouse.

Fwiw, I'm using similar for a media server and its fine. Personally for this one I'd bump it to 8gb ram but I think for under $100 you could have a decent BI system.

Based on a moment of googling, that looks like it would be an i7-3770. Great deal for under $100.
Sorry about that. I forgot to put the price. The guy wants $70. I just dont need ANOTHER. lol

No Intel Quick sync in third generation. I would spend a bit more for at least fourth generation.

I had asked about it and considered it. Asked the guy to tell me what proc it is and he just said the ghz speed. By that point I had slowed down and decided I didn't NEED it so I didn't ask more. Not bad as the guy said there was only 1 dimm installed so to bump up the ram, you wouldnt have to remove any.

This is a good machine will last through a lot of high MP/s cams:
HP EliteDesk 800 G4 SFF i5-8500 3.00GHz 8GB NO HDD Warranty 2021 | eBay

The price is right at only $430 shipped. Buy a NVMe for OS and you are good to go.

0-500 MP/s ----- 3rd-7th gen i5 desktop CPU (4 cores)
500-800 MP/s --- 3rd-7th gen i7 desktop CPU (4 cores + hyperthreading) or 8th-9th gen i5 desktop CPU (6 cores)
800-1100 MP/s -- i7-8700 (6 cores + hyperthreading) or i7-9700 (8 cores) or the K edition of either
1100-1500 MP/s - i9-9900K
1500+ MP/s ----- Then it varies. Pick something near the top of this chart, or consider a different VMS than Blue Iris.

Quick Sync started with 2nd gen, where it is limited to 1920x1080 max res. 3rd gen has better Quick Sync decoding with no resolution limit that I know of.
I could be wrong then. I thought BI support for quicksync started with 4th gen, but I'm wrong about lots of things.
