This store has some sample pictures from lots of cameras in the exact same environment so you can easily compare the quality difference.

Example, DS-2CD2332-i in lowlight vs a 2mp ip camera with imx222+3516 . The hikvision gets destroyed

Thanks for the link. Keep in mind that a photo without knowing the settings used cant be trusted. Also that environment is not real world as its very narrow with ir bouncing off everything.

It doesn't take much to destroy 2332 and especially 2532. They never been a good night time performers. The sample actually looks better then my results.

That 5 MP looks great. It has 1/1.8 sensor. Anyone knows the price in this?

I'll call bullshit on the 2CD2332 picture there. Doesn't look anything like the picture on any of mine. The comparisons don't even use the same view angles.

The pictures are likely taken in near pitch black environment. If yours has some light it will look better. From video samples I've seen of ds-2cd2332 it looks right to me.

They seem very methodical in their tests and even list actual fov of each camera so I'd trust them.

You can find the 5mp on aliexpress for cheaper price than this store, approx $140, but that store gives 2 year guarantee and no tax if you are in Europe.

Official spec sheet says it is 0.002 lux

This looks like a rebranded duahua? https://shopdelta.eu/ip-vandalproof...-onvif-2-0-3-0-mpx-1536p-2-8-mm_l2_p7471.html

Again, terrible low light. https://shopdelta.eu/obrazki1/bcs-dmip2300air-b_img11_d.jpg

Really considering getting one of those 5mp. It's night performance is amazing even when you view fullscreen and zoom in
That is a rebranded 4300c...the night vision on it is not good, though they have it exaggerated.
The image on the cantonk is very good. Though we dont know the settings they used (could be 1/6 exposure that would result in terrible video) though the sensor size should make this a good low light camera. The primary concern with these is reliability. Lots of the low cost cams have issues with IR LED's and, cut filters, and providing a good stable stream. Though for about 100 dollars just like the cheap ptz, it cant hurt to buy it and test it. They dont mention the frame rate capability at 5mp..
Where have you seen it on ali? Also seems to only come in 6mm.

It's hard to get excited about *claims* (such as have been made with these images). I'll reserve judgement until a few CamIpTalk.com members get their hands of these cameras and give us some user reviews.

Be honest, you really want that 5mp camera. :D I know I do.

Several years ago I really wanted an 5MP ACTi E33. So I bought one; It took all of 1 day to realize that my Hikvision 2032's beat the pants off it. As a result, I try not get too excited by claims.

Looking at some pics from the Acti e33, I'd have to concur with you. But it's clear the 5mp mentioned here performs amazing in low light compared to anything else in the price range. The specs and sample pics speak for themselves in my opinion.

Nothing is clear until users report their experience wit the camera.
