Greetings,
I work in the IT field and I am planning on setting up a camera system for home in the next few months after many hours of research.
Currently my thought process is 6-10 cameras all feed via POE to either my current server, Dell 410, maybe upgraded Dell 710 in the near future, or some dedicated box. All of this will be segregated to it's own VLAN accessible only via VPN, even inside the house/network.
I have been reading this site for a few weeks and learned a good bit but look forward to learning much more!
