Guy catches package thief, clearly needs more cameras

You ever think about how much crime costs the average person? Not only the loss of your goodies, but cost of police, jails, court system, legislators, loss of personal freedoms. locks, alarm system, cameras, guns, inconveniences, cost of products, psychological impact.

FYI - posting this incase the original video gets removed ( happens often enough )

From a single lens camera :

Notice, how the still images look very good, moving images are very poor .. it is at 7PM .. suspect local time in October, so already getting a bit dark ..

3rd camera looks like a cheap PTZ camera .. resolution is so bad, i'd replace this one .. unless there's more reason to have this than image capture ..

lesson .. better cameras .. get cameras with larger sensors and tune for low light image capture on the most critical ones ..

From the timestamps (lowercase am/pm), those look mostly like Reolink cameras. Anyone think so?

Yes, that is what I suspect .. Reolink cameras .. ( or perhaps another OEM with smaller sensors .. )

Clearly the cameras are tuned to maximize still image captures, thus why I thought Reolink right away

Why in the land of packages getting stolen are you sticking to a system where packages are left in plain view outside houses?

As the other poster said, I have a package delivery vault. UPS uses it 100% of the time. Amazon, 75%. USPS, about the same. And FedEx maybe 1/2 the time. I have two signs telling them just to press the open button to open it, and a text to speech voice which tells them the same thing. Which is all you need to do if there are no packages in it. If there is a package, you have to enter the code they're all provided with.

It's set up in a way that literally adds absolutely no time to their day, but many still don't use it.

Ok, well and good for an air-bag sensor. But, they forgot to put an air-bag inside the package!
One might call it a self-inflating package----It grows "on" you. A blow-job you did not want?
Pop goes the weasel.

I keep thinking bait needs to be covered in poison oak oil and left for miscreants to 'discover'. Throw in some lurid photos so they are likely to 'touch themselves'.

At least 2 Reolink cameras were used .. from what I can tell from his posts .. which explains the poor image capture on moving subjects
