Hanging IPC-Color4K-T180 + Junction Box on Fascia Board, will it be too heavy?

I want to install IPC-Color4K-T180 + junction box at the fascia board. I was told by Andy that they will weigh about 3.5lbs, is this too heavy for the fascia board?

My neighbor has a much heavier PTZ on fascia board that has been fine for years.

Depends on material and condition of the material.

If the board is in good shape (no rot, well-secured to frame of house) you'll be fine. Just make sure you use screws in all the holes and that they're at least 1.5" long and as thick as will fit through the holes in the junction box.

If the fascia board is actually wood, you won't have a problem. If it's aluminum or vinyl siding trim, then you'll need to make sure it is anchored into wood and not just the siding.
