Has anyone been able to run iDMSS Plus continuously 24/7 for over 3 days on the iPAD (over wifi) ?

I want to use it as a surveillance app on the iPad. The last few versions I remember it will time out after 2 days. Amcrest engineers (who use Amcrest View Pro), who share the app with Dahua, told me that they specifically put some sort of hard timeout of 48-hours which cuts the feed immediately. They said they do this to save data for cellular customers, but if it's over wifi, then there is no data usage charge.

Amcrest has no engineers working on the app. Dahua makes every bit of code for the app and make a special version for amcrest. They deliberately lied to you. Think about it, if the intent was to save data, it would time out way before 48 hours.
 
@MakeItRain also, be careful the latest version of iDMSS (4.40.000) seems to have a bug in it relating to connecting to NVR's / Cams most of the time (spins and requires multiple app refresh to get a connect). Previous versions did not show this issue but if you are using that for monitoring you may want to hold off updating.

Yeah, my iOS updated my iphone to the latest iDMSS plus app and it is buggy as heck. Now, my video feeds don't appear any more or take a LOT longer to appear. I have to restart the app multiple times. They added some fancy transitioning when entering a camera window but that's about it. I wish they went back to the previous version because this version is buggy as heck.
 
@MakeItRain, as @bigredfish mentioned in his iDMSS thread you can use EVO Plus in the meantime, that works without issue BUT it doesn't remember last screen config so you do have to kick off Start Live Preview each time you enter the app but works nonetheless.

Its a similar product (looks like same layout so absolutely could be Dahua core code, though not sure about that) but the main takeaway is that whereas iDMSS currently is broken, EVO Plus works.
