I have a Vivotek CC-8371-HV. I'm having a bit of trouble setting it to get remote view.
When I'm on the local network, I can view fine, on web config page and using iViewer, their iOS app.
I got hung up after I could not open the port. I have a ZTE Mobley connected via USB (in modem mode) to a GL-inet AR300 router running Open wrt/luci. I opened port 80, then went to IPchicken or some web-based port checker and it came up closed, tried different settings, saved and applied--nothing.
Do I need to open ports on the Mobley even though its in modem mode?
The iViewer app should make this relatively easy, I switched that to secure connection.
As I understand it, the steps are: set the wan ip to something non-dynamic, open the port, use the wan ip w/port suffix and use login/pw to view with preferred ip cam software/app.
