Hi there, I am glad I found you all on this site! I am blown away at the wealth of information here!

I've had a few Reolink cameras set up in the front / back the last few years, and monitoring through the phone app. In the last few months, I've isolated the cams from the internet through separate (Unifi) VLAN and firewall rules, and have set up Blue Iris to monitor cameras. I dont have the VPN set up yet, so I cannot access camera feeds from outside just yet.

I'll be adding more cameras once I finish planning and researching. I've been reading the wikis here, what an incredible source of information!

Hopefully I'll be able to contribute when I can, and share my experiences with you all.

:welcome:

A little advance warning....Reolink isn't looked upon very favorably here. Don't be put off or insulted if they get heavily criticized and for many good reasons.

Lol yes thanks for the heads up. I did come across that a number of times while reading through the site. I had bought them a few years ago and admittedly hadn't done a lot of research beforehand. While I haven't had any complaints with them yet, I'll probably experience their shortcomings more as I learn how to refine the camera settings to optimize the video (and compare them with other cameras).

Welcome to IPCT !

Welcome @couch67

Feel free to share comparison and contrast images / videos when you get a few more cameras to compare with.

Hello, welcome to the forum.

Welcome. I did worse than Reo-link. My first IP cams after careful Amazon review LOL were a Pair of Jidetech PTZ's. Then I found this site.....Or I found this site and didn't listen to them....
Now I've learned just enough to keep BI running smoothly and providing useful data.
