Hello everyone on this forum.
My name is Željko and I live in Serbia and recently I installed video surveillance with Dahua NVR recorder and Dahua 5 IP cameras.

1. The recorder is NVR4108HS-4KS2 / L
2. The first camera is IPC-HDW3849H-AS-PV-S3
3. The second camera is IPC-HFW3849T1-AS-PV
4. The third camera is IPC-HFW3841T-ZAS
5. The fourth camera is IPC-HDW3849H-AS-PV
6. The fifth camera is IPC-HDW3841EM-AS
7. The first POE Switch is PFS3006-4GT-60
8. The second POE Switch is PFS3006-4ET-60

Now everything works fine, but I have a question about setting the codec and bitrate and what is the best to choose, what is the best to choose when in Encode mode it selects the H.265 codec, whether AI Codec or Smart Codec (which codec is better AI Codec or Smart Codec ), and how much Bit Rate is enough for every 8K camera ...?
Also which audio codec is better to choose AAC or PCM and what are your experiences?
So much from me for now, and any help is welcome! :)

Many have had problems with h.265, recommend plain h.264

Bitrate should be 8192 minimum, higher if the NVR can handle it. I’d try 10240 and see how they do. That’s a lite NVR so not very powerful but it should handle 8192 and 15+ FPS

ACC on audio
