Greetings from the cold Nordic countries
I am new to this forum, but with the security technology I've been dealing with over a year. I have worked in the field of security for six years.
However, this site is already quite familiar with, because I've been looking for answers to the problems here.
I am starting two my own small project this spring.
1) Updating the CCTV system of my summer cottage
I currently have a Hikvision system with two surveillance cameras. The intention would be to change the Hikvision NVR to one of the VMS softwares, such as Milestone, Blue Iris, etc.
I plan to increase the number of cameras to at least four cameras.
The problem is adding some cameras to the system because they cannot be wired due to the environmental challenge. I would like to hear advice on this problem.
In addition, a computer / NAS suitable for this purpose should be built. The aim is to make the system as cost-effective as possible.
2) Getting to know the Raspberry PI system. The goal is to make some kind of access control system or electronic locking.
