Hi
I have purchased and installed a Hik-vision DS-7208HGHI-SH/A DVR and 1/3"HD-TVI 2mp 1080p eyeball dome cameras 30m IR.
I have used cat 5 cable with baluns, the problem I am having is:
When I connect the 4 cameras together using 1 power supply and a 4 lead spider picture quality is rubbish and humbars are all over pictures.
I have now installed 4 separate power supplies (1 to each camera) which sorts out poor picture but I still have slight humbars.
The DVR has its own power supply!
Is there such a power supply with 4 insulated leads? or could some of you technical boffs please point me in the right direction?
Would RG59 shotgun cable be any better?
Thanks in anticipation of any help
Denis:)

Very simple connect the ov- that feeds the camera's to thd Ground screw on the DVR, all should then become nice and clear.

Analogue cctv needs a common ground, all the way through the system.

For a simple system you should use a 3mp psu for the cameras with a splitter lead.

Not really the right place for TVI / SDI or analogue, but we will help anyway
