I am a bit of a novice and this forum helped me greatly with initially getting my NVR going and operational. I am hoping to set up my existing cameras with RTSP links but I am struggling a lot to get to the RTSP accurate link.
My NVR is an off brand Hikvision-like NVR that is a few years old. Here is an old thread for context of the initial camera diagnosis, incl. config file and ID: Hikvision camera admin password reset tool
I have 8 cameras set up and have the IP addresses of them through the NVR. As per the menu, the link structure seems to be: [Type]:/[IP Address]
ort/[Path] or as the example that is in the menu screenshot below: rtsp:/192.168.0.1:554/ch1/main/av_stream.
I've tried different variations with my IP addresses of the camera, the port and including the sample paths and variations, but haven't been able to access the stream either through Scrypted or VLC.
I am not sure if I am missing additional information for the path? Any help would be appreciated to get me on the right track.
