After having my network hardware changed by Cspire, I can no longer access my Dahua 2231. Before the network changed, the Dahua had the following network info:

Ip 192.168.1.111

Subnet 255.255.255.0

Default 192.168.1.254

After the work, my network changed to:

IP addresses: 10.0.0.XXX

Subnet 255.255.255.0

Default 10.0.0.1

I attempted to login to the Dahua with the old IP address with no luck. I also tried to find the ip (so that I could change the network info) through the Smart PSS software. However, I am unable to locate the camera. I realize that my default gateway will have to be changed to 10.0.0.1, but I can’t access the camera to change the info. I have a netgear router.

Can someone help me find the camera so that I can change the network information?

If you have only 1 cam, you might try:
  1. Change IP of PC to 192.168.1.XXX
  2. Plug cam directly into PC
  3. Log into cam's webGUI, change IP of cam to 10.0.0.XXX subnet
  4. Save
  5. Put PC's IP back where it was before step 1
  6. Put cam's cable back where it was before step 2

Install the configtool software that came with the camera on the little cd.
Run configtool, at the top of the window next to search settings, enter the range 192.168.1.111-192.168.1.111
Click search.

I figured it out. I logged into my router and changed the network configuration back to what it was previously. Then, I found the camera on the configuration tool and changed the network configuration to what it "was going to be". Then, I logged back into the router and changed the configuration back to 10.1.1.XXX

I never had used Dahua's Config Tool so I thought I'd download, install and try so I could possibly help the OP.
I know all my cams were on 192.168.1.X so I changed the PC where the Config Tool was on to 192.168.0.X, trying to simulate his router's 'new' subnet.
The tool found all the cams but would not allow me to log in, had to change PC's IP back to 192.168.1.X like the cams in order to log in.
That's why I suggested to the OP as I did in my post #2. Maybe not an accurate simulation.

Now if he had a bunch of cams, I would have just changed the router LAN to the subnet as before (same as cams) but just didn't think it was in his wheelhouse, but he was able to mod the router long enough to change his cam's IP, proving oftentimes there's more than one way to skin a cat...and proved also he had more in his wheelhouse than I thought....good job, @trook ! :D
