Help with cameras and critique my proposed design

I'm planning on setting up a camera system in my dental office in phases. I designed a camera system for the whole office and would like to get some help and feedback. I have purchased a used computer for Blue Iris. My plan is to work on the outside first. I need Camera 7 to read license plates for drivers who are using my parking lot to illegally bypass the traffic light at the 3 way corner. The driveway is one way and given that cars have to yield to the main road, cars will stop and yield so I don't need cameras that capture plates at fast speeds.

My thoughts for C7 was a Hikvision DS-2CD2032-I with a 25mm lens as I have read on other threads here. I wanted to put another DS-2CD2032 (without a lens) to capture the whole car and have a wider view. Let's call it C7a (which is not in the pictures). I wanted C8, C11, C12 to be PTZ but given that PTZ cameras are a bit expensive, can someone recommend a camera that has zooming abilities but not PTZ? I also would like the cameras to be somewhat small and inconspicuous.

Otherwise, the other cameras would also be DS-2CD2032 or DS-2CD3345-I. Which one would be more suitable for longer distances? Would love to hear your preferences.

Eventually when I start working on the inside, I will likely use dome cameras with microphones. Which camera would you recommend for those?

If you're the dentist the hire a professional to do it...it'll probably be a better installation and you can afford it! :)

In addition...this way you may be able to push any liability issues off onto the professional installation company...unless you start selling video of the nurses dressing room on the internet...then you're on your own! :rolleyes-new:
 
The PC is HP Z230 i7-4790 3.6GHz. I will put in 4 GB ram for now and upgrade later. It comes with 256SSD and I have a bunch of 1TB WD drives that I can use or I'll get a WD Purple 3TB in the future.

I did try to get multiple quotes from professionals. The vast majority of electricians refuse to do it. Most camera/security specialists that gave me quotes wanted to push their own 4 camera system with NVR, even though I said I wanted 12 cameras. I just can't find trustworthy camera specialists so I had to find electricians and they only want to do wiring. I can do that myself.

You can find low voltage guys to run the cable if you need help.
If you will be running 12 3mp cams or even 8 you will need 8gb of ram...or the cpu usage will be through the roof.
 
Right now, I only want one to three cameras. Will 4gb be enough? I will add ram as needed. My concern now is which cameras will suit the office and if the positions/locations of the cameras I planned make sense.

yes it will..ram is cheap though..20 bux or so for another 4gb stick..
I would go with all 4mp or 2mp cameras...only use the bullet in the location you need a 25mm lens..otherwise go with a turret...
