Help with Intel HD graphics

I'm little confused on how I can just use my Intel HD Graphics vs. AMD Radeon. I just got my new i5 6500 and under display adapters it has AMD RadeonTM R5 340X. From the forums I know Intel HD is better. I went to the intel site and tried to DL the Intel 530 Graphics, but it didn't work. Any help on this one?
