with the Dahua pinhole you linked to - how long is that cable that goes from camera > the box? Can it be extended if not long enough? I figure I can run the cable to my basement and in my drop ceiling leave that box then continue with an ethernet cable to my PoE switch which is also in the basement. want to make sure if i go this route I have all the tools needed when my electrician shows up

the write up says adapter not included - what adapter and is it necessary? would i have to order it from somewhere else? can ethernet go right into this for Power or is the adapter required?

it does not come with a PoE injector or 12v power brick.. you must supply one of these on your own; hopefully PoE in the form of a switch/midspan or NVR.
