Helps with hardware configuration for 40 cameras.

Hello friends, I have been using blue iris for some time, but always with few cameras.
Now I have a project with 40 cameras of 1.3mp. I'm testing with an i7 3770 with 8GB, and if I add more than 15 cameras and more than 5 of them shoot to record, the processor hits at 100% making everything slow. The cameras are set to only 10fps.
What would be a good setup for 40 cameras of 1.3mp at 15fps?

Thanks for the help.

@Zhenit
It looks like to me that your system couldn't keep up. Upgrading BI server is a good idea to meet your recording requirements.

that system can easily hand more than 15 cameras....you are likely running the demo or not setting up direct to disk and hardware acceleration...use the wiki..

Grateful for the attention. Could you pass me the link to the information on how to enable these features?
What do you tell me the following configuration for 40 cameras 1.3mp?:
- Dell PowerEdge 2950 with 2 Xeon 5410
- 16GB Ram
- 3 HDDs SAS 15k RPM in RAID0

The power edge is a power hog and does not support Hardware acceleration

Just a thought, but why buy a 4th gen processor? It would be much more cost effective to purchase a 7th or 8th gen processor.

Cheap out on processor and buys used, then wants to put overpriced sas drives for recording.

That's where I bow out. Best of luck.
