Getting the hang of it
Been lurking (and posting a bit) for a few weeks, so I thought I'd at least introduce myself.
Ex Silicon Valley independent consultant / CAD re-seller from back in the 80's.
First computer was an IBM-AT 8MHz, 640k RAM, 30MB Hard Drive, 640x350 EGA Monochrome Monitor. $15,000.00
My how times have changed.
Spent the last 15 years, woefully underemployed, managing a towing company in the South Bay.
When the Dot-Com bubble burst there were many people looking for work. I landed here... go figure.
I've installed a Lorex, 16 Camera system here at work a several years ago.
Now experimenting with IP Cameras at home:
2 Amcrest Bullets, and 2 Amcrest PTZ.
I'm running Blue Iris on my Home Theater Plex Media Server.
Thanx in advance for any assistance you all provide, and I'll jump in with any advice or opinion that I can, if I think I can be of help.
