I'm the primary developer for OpenMiko, an open source IP camera firmware for the Wyze brand of cameras.
OpenMiko is primary focused on ease of use and a solid platform to develop more functionality.

Nice! I don't use wyze cams but I have often marveled at how bad stock firmware for various cameras can be.

Yup! Just got a V3 and managed to solder the pins. Definitely found a way around the firmware signature checks so will be able to compile openmiko for it.

Hopefully you can get them to be ONVIF compliant and put out RTSP streams....

They are and do now. The Wyze with the RTSP Beta firmware at least. But it has some issues and you can't configure them much in ways that you'd want and I doubt that Wyze will ever add much if anything along those lines.
