Hi guys,

just joined up and am a total newbie really.

Anyways, I've just bought myself some Hikvision 2342 4mp ip's with an 8 channel nvr, (7608ni)
i wanted to know whether the alarm can be set to a strobe or bell box for example, recording 24/7 but activate only on motion detection? Also is there a way it can be done (if it can be done at all) so if doesn't sound off when a cat goes past for example?

Of course you can use the output to drive anything, but using a low voltage relay.

Cheers, Any ideas of how to get this wired? And is there an additional item I need to make it pet resistant it is that in the nvr settings?
