Hi,

I need some assistance. I have a camera location under the eaves of of a 2 storey home.
The camera would provide a similar photo attached but probably another metre higher.

You can see street lights and I am looking for guidance on which Cams to consider:
I will be running a HIKVision Accusense DVR (if that helps) along with an Accusense EasyIP 4.0 with strobe and speaker alerts positioned above the garage.

thanks in advance.

Regarding placement - Cameras that are high up are only good for determining what happened and when. They don't help for finding out who did it. I have some really cheap cameras on the eaves of my 2 story for a general overview then high quality cams at the places I can get good facials. Read through the Wiki cliff notes section on camera placement.

To deal with street lights, headlights, etc. you'll need to make sure the cam has True WDR. I recommend at least 120dB. You'll likely also have to tweak the settings and use day/night profiles instead of the cam defaults.

thanks mcorzine,

I plan to also have an Accusense camera above the garage to get the detail.
