I mounted an IPC-T5449H-ASE-D2-6mm (you still see the ladder). It still seems too much of a wide angle, though. My main goal is to record/identify anybody that comes through the side. So it seems something like 9mm to 12mm is appropriate. I don't have much lightening on that particular side. Maybe something like an IPC-HW5241E-Z12E would do? Are there any other cams similar to the Dahua that perform well in low light and ideally have varifocal lenses? I don't like the dome cams as they gather dust/rain spots, etc on the lens and then are terrible in low light. The turrets seems to perform better.
