I’ve recently brought a 2CD2347G2 in hopes of using it for identification near my front door.

I currently manage recording and notifications using Frigate move on my home server.

I can’t seem to get get my new 2CD2347G2 even connected to my network!?

SADP doesn’t find any cameras, tried on both Mac and windows.

My router is a belkin RT3200 running OpenWrt. That’s connected to an unmanaged 1Gb POE switch.

I’ve tried known working cables, tested with a cable tester etc.

The camera seems to work, lights come on and go off as expected.

The seller seems to think it’s because my home network is on a different subnet 192.168.0.x as opposed to 192.168.1.64 that apparently the camera defaults to. Though SADP should still find the camera I believe.

Im at a bit of a loss on what to try next so any advice is greatly appreciated. I’m not the best with networking, but if I’ve missed any details please let me know.
Thanks

SADP will find a powered working Hikvision camera, active or inactive, that's on the same wiring at the PC, no matter that they are on different IP segments.

The camera may be faulty, from what you describe.
One thing to try though doubtful of it will make any difference - remove the hatch cover where the SD card should be.
Find and keep pressed the reset button there, power on the camera and keep the button pressed for about 30 seconds.
Does it now show in SADP?
Also - try powering it with 12v DC, or another PoE switch off you have one.
What PoE spec is the existing switch?

The switch is 802.3af 30w max per port.
I have tried with an external 12v power supply connected directly to router as well.
I have tried resetting it too.
Ok seems I’ll have to return it. Was hoping I was missing something obvious.
